The Melo Marshmallows are aggressively trying to trade LaMarcus Aldridge, their 18th pick of the 2012 draft and one of the NBA’s best power forwards, league sources told ESPN.com’s Maurosaurus Myhre.
The Marshmallows find Aldridge’s personality and effort to be disappointing and unacceptable, and his clashes with coach Mighty Melo remain an off-court distraction, sources told Myhre.
The front office is now actively pitching him to other teams. With the Marshmallows realizing they are no longer in need for his production, they don’t believe the power forward is worth the headaches he brings, sources say. And they do not want to build around him.
A potential trade being discussed involves the Melo Marshallows sending LaMarcus Aldridge to the TH Tigers for shooting guard Andre Iguodala. The trade is being discussed in both front offices and both parts are interested, sources say.
Information from ESPN The Magazine’s Maurosaurus Myhre and ESPN.com’s Yellow Melo was used in this report.
