The losses keep piling up for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavs learned Wednesday they will be without second year star Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season after the point guard re-injured his sprained the hand he sprained during summer workouts. The point guard is set to have surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
“You can tell he wasn’t himself after that screen,” Cavaliers coach Byron Scott said. “But he wouldn’t say anything about it.”
Irving was off to a fast start in his second campaign, posting averages of 24.6 points and 6.2 assists per game.
“He’s a competitor,” Scott said. “He wants to play. We’ll miss him”
