LOS ANGELES–Clippers star Chris Paul has been suspended 6 weeks for violating the NBA’s substance abuse policy, the league announced Wednesday.

“We believe this to be an isolated incident and will get Chris the help he needs. Sometimes there are things more important than basketball.” Said Gary Sacks, General Manager of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Third year player Eric Bledsoe will start for The Clippers in place of the suspended superstar. Bledsoe, the former Kentucky Wildcat has been said to possess more natural Point Guard ability than anyone outside of Rajon Rondo.
