Kobe to retire by season’s end

Kobe Bryant is (once again) calling it quits.

Citing difficulties adapting to new teammates, the former high school-to-the-pros star has announced his decision to retire by the end of the 2012-2013 season.

When asked whether winning another championship will factor in his decision to play out the remainder of his contract and to get the elusive sixth ring, Kobe simply shrugged, disinterested.

“It’s getting old,” Bryant explained. “Having to adapt to a new system year in-year out is tough mentally and physically.”
